NAIRL and Anthropic to Collaborate on Frontier AI Research in Korea

National AI Research Lab (NAIRL) is collaborating with Anthropic to support the research of NAIRL-affiliated researchers across its four-university consortium of KAIST, Korea University, Yonsei University, and POSTECH. Through this collaboration, Anthropic will provide Claude access to NAIRL researchers, supporting work on AI safety, model evaluation, alignment, robustness, and broader frontier AI research.

The collaboration comes alongside the opening of Anthropic’s Seoul office, highlighting Korea’s growing role in the global AI ecosystem. As a national AI research platform, NAIRL aims to connect Korea’s academic research community with leading frontier AI organizations worldwide.

NAIRL looks forward to working closely with Anthropic’s Korea team and hopes this collaboration will serve as a cornerstone for deeper cooperation ahead, connecting researchers in Korea with leading global AI institutions.
