The Vice Minister of Science and ICT visited the National AI Research Lab (NAIRL), the core of Korea’s AI ecosystem, to comprehensively discuss national R&D strategies and the establishment of a public-private governance framework to lead the AI era.
During this on-site session, participants reviewed the progress of NAIRL’s key initiatives, such as overcoming neural scaling limitations and developing robot foundation models, while broadly exploring structural ecosystem reforms encompassing global collaboration and talent cultivation.
Pledging all-out support for the nation and the Lab’s AI advancement, the Vice Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that Korea actively drives global AI trends rather than remaining a passive follower.
