These Terms and Conditions are intended to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the National AI Research Lab (hereinafter referred to as the “Institute”) and users in connection with the use of the website https://nairl.kr (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”) operated by the Institute. The Institute reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting new terms without prior notice. If you do not agree to any changes, you must discontinue use of the Site.
The Institute shall post the following information on the Site in a manner that is easily accessible to users:

① The Institute shall post these Terms and Conditions on the Site in such a manner that users may review them through a separate linked page, and shall enable users to print the full text of the Terms and Conditions.
① The Institute may amend these Terms and Conditions to the extent that such amendments do not violate applicable laws and regulations.
② If a user does not agree to the amended Terms and Conditions, the user may discontinue use of the Site.
① Where there are matters that need to be communicated to users, the Institute may provide notice to the email address provided by the user.
② For notices to all users, the Institute may substitute the notice under the preceding paragraph by posting such notice on the Site’s notice board for a period of at least 10 days. However, for matters that have a significant impact on users’ use of the Site, the Institute may provide separate notice in the same manner as the preceding paragraph for a period of at least 30 days.
① The Institute provides the following services:
• Provision of AI research information and news
• Sharing of research achievements and publication information
• Provision of event and seminar information
• Guidance on partnership and collaboration opportunities
• Receipt of inquiries through the Contact pag
② The Institute may modify the services being provided where there are substantial operational or technical reasons for doing so.
③ In the event that services are modified pursuant to the preceding paragraph, the Institute shall notify users of the reasons for and details of such modifications in accordance with the methods set forth in Article 5 of these Terms and Conditions.
① The Institute collects the following personal information through the Contact page:
• Email address
• Mobile phone number
② The collected personal information shall be used only for the following purposes:
• Responding to user inquiries and communication
• Sending Institute newsletters and event information (with optional consent)
• Partnership and collaboration-related communications
③ In principle, the Institute shall destroy such information without delay after the purposes of collection and use of personal information have been achieved. However, where it is necessary to retain such information pursuant to applicable laws and regulations, the Institute shall retain such information for the relevant period.
① The Institute places great importance on the protection of users’ personal information and makes every effort to thoroughly protect the personal information it receives.
② The Institute shall not provide users’ personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual user. However, the following cases are exceptions:
• Where required pursuant to the provisions of applicable laws and regulations, or where there is a request from investigative authorities in accordance with the procedures and methods prescribed by law for investigative purposes
• Where the user has given prior consent
① Users shall not engage in any of the following acts:
• Providing false information
• Misappropriating another person’s personal information
• Infringing upon the rights of the Institute or third parties
• Engaging in conduct that undermines public peace and order or good morals and social customs
• Intentionally interfering with the operation of the Site by the Institute
• Violating applicable laws and regulations or these Terms and Conditions
② Where a user violates the obligations set forth in the preceding paragraph, the Institute may restrict such user’s use of the services or report such user to the relevant authorities.
① The copyright in all content provided by the Institute belongs to the Institute and the respective providers of such content.
② Users shall not reproduce, modify, display, transmit, distribute, sell, broadcast, or create derivative works from the content provided by the Institute without the prior consent of the Institute.
① The Institute shall be exempt from liability for the provision of services in cases where services cannot be provided due to acts of God or force majeure events equivalent thereto.
② The Institute shall not be liable for any disruption in the use of services caused by reasons attributable to the user.
③ The Institute shall not be liable for the reliability, accuracy, or other aspects of information, materials, or facts posted by users through the Site.
④ The Institute shall not be liable for disputes arising between users or between users and third parties in connection with content.
① The Institute and users shall make all necessary efforts to amicably resolve any disputes arising in connection with the use of the Site.
② Notwithstanding the efforts under the preceding paragraph, if a dispute is not resolved, the matter may be submitted to a dispute resolution body in accordance with the procedures prescribed by applicable laws and regulations, or to a court of competent jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
[Supplementary Provisions]
These Terms and Conditions shall enter into force on February 9, 2025.
