- Abstract: Artificial intelligence goes beyond mere technological innovation; it is a historical turning point that is altering the course of human civilization. This lecture explores the civilizational significance of AI and analyzes the reality of the intensifying global AI hegemony competition centered around the US and China. In particular, it examines the strategies of various nations concerning core resources such as semiconductors, data, and computing power, and presents concrete steps South Korea must take to leap forward as a top 3 AI powerhouse. Furthermore, it will provide an outlook on how industrial structures and national competitiveness will be reorganized within the emerging future technological ecosystem, including the AI agent economy, industrial convergence, and data ontology.
- Biography: Youngsun Park is a Visiting Professor at Sogang University and served as the former Minister of SMEs and Startups for the Republic of Korea.
