AI Innovation Showcase 2025 @ National AI Research Lab
Event Overview
- This event marked the first official "Open Lab" since the establishment of the National AI Research Lab (NAIRL), designed to unveil key research achievements and foster an AI ecosystem based on industry-academia-research collaboration.
- Under the theme "From Basic Research to Industrial Innovation," the showcase presented NAIRL’s strategic direction toward becoming a global AI powerhouse. The event highlighted the necessity of bridging high-risk basic research with industrial application.
- Key academic sessions focused on three core areas: • Next-generation Model Efficiency based on Neural Scaling • Robot Foundation Models • Ultra-high-dimensional Multimodal Generative AI.
- Researchers demonstrated breakthrough technologies, including real-time image generation acceleration, self-correcting 3D modeling, and language-vision-action integrated robot agents.

- Attendees Kim Kee-Eung (Director, NAIRL), Jang Eun-jung (Director, IITP), and lead researchers from participating universities (KAIST, Korea University, Yonsei University, POSTECH).
- Naver Cloud, LG Electronics, and HD Hyundai, and various other industry partners also participated to discuss technology transfer and commercialization.
