In a recent interview, Kee-Eung Kim, Director of the National AI Research Lab (NAIRL), stated that the Lab serves as the premier central hub of industry-academia-research collaboration to elevate Korea into a top-three global AI powerhouse.

Identifying “talent cultivation” as the core of global AI competitiveness, Director Kim presented a vision to nurture top-tier AI elites through highly challenging research initiatives, such as overcoming ‘Neural Scaling Laws’ and developing ‘Robot Foundation Models.’

He also emphasized the commitment to creating an attractive, globally open innovation ecosystem that draws outstanding international researchers, ultimately establishing NAIRL as a leading research hub where the world’s best AI minds converge.
