Dongwoo Kim

Dongwoo Kim is an associate professor at POSTECH, leading the machine learning lab. His research primarily focuses on the geometric structure of datasets and models, and how they influence machine learning algorithms. He has a history of working as a lecturer at the Australian National University and holds a Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from KAIST, as well as a B.E. from Sungkyunkwan University.

In 2025, our lab achieved remarkable milestones with papers accepted to ICLR, ICML, KDD, ICCV, EMNLP, and NeurIPS (including a spotlight). I’m serving as an area chair for NeurIPS 2025 and ACL Rolling Review.

Our members have received prestigious honors such as the Presidential Science Scholarship and the BK21 Best Paper Award, and we continue to expand our team with new talented researchers.
